Friends-giving

Last night I stopped by my parents house for dinner to spend time with some out of town visitors and my family.  I always have such a great time when my whole family gets together.  My love for cooking was certainly formed in my childhood as my parents are both wonderful cooks.  My mom made an enormous chicken pot pie, sauteed mushrooms, roasted kale and green beans.

Afterwards it was off to Arlington.  I met with friends at Screwtop, a great little wine bar, where we sat at an amazing large wooden table (that I would die to have in my living room) and enjoyed a variety of wines and cheese.

One of my favorite things about this bar was the wooden plates that everything was served on.

Very rustic but beautiful at the same time.

We decided this year we were going to have a friends-giving so we could get together again and enjoy each others company while enjoying a very tasty meal.  I offered to host.  I'm thinking....corn bread stuffing and mojito mint mashed sweet potatoes.  Mmmmmm.  Stay tuned

  1. SUCH a cute outfit!! And that dog is amazingly huge! I want a St. Bernard and my boyfriend thinks I'm insane for wanting such a large dog.
